“Stress and Anxiety & The Practice of Law”

The presentation will cover  stress relievers and health and wellness in the practice of law and qualifies for 1.0 hour of substance abuse/mental health CLE credit.

Shannon Furr Bobertz graduated from law school in 2002.  While in law school Shannon was an Associate Articles Editor on the SC Law Review  and a member of the Wig and Robe.  After graduation, she clerked for Justice Costa Pleicones on the SC Supreme Court. After her clerkship, she went into private practice focusing on civil litigation and municipal law with a private firm.  Shannon joined SC Department of Natural Resources in 2013 and was appointed Chief Counsel in 2014.  Shannon is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and was chosen as a Rising Superlawyer in 2013.  Shannon was awarded the Silver Compleat Lawyer Award by the USC School of Law.  Shannon also serves as a Bar Examiner and an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Law.  Shannon recently served on the SC Bar Wellness Task Force, and is a regular practitioner of yoga. She was selected by The State Newspaper as a recipient of the “20 Under 40” award.

Payment may be remitted upon arrival on June 5. Please note that cancellations made after that time are subject to invoicing. If you cannot attend and are unable to timely cancel, you may offer your reservation to a guest.

*The CLE is a complimentary benefit for all current SCWLA members.  If a SCWLA member wishes to attend only a portion of the CLE program, simply sign out with your name and the time you left to receive the appropriate credit.  If you are not a SCWLA member and would like to receive CLE credit for this program, you may join online at www.scwla.org or by completing an application and paying the membership fee at the luncheon.
