05.04.17 Old English CLE Luncheon
Please join me for a free CLE and luncheon at Amelie’s in Rock Hill on Thursday, May 4th from 11:30 am-1:15 pm. www.ameliesfrenchbakery.com Amelie’s is located at 157 E. Main Street in downtown Rock Hill and will provide a delicious spread for us at The Left Bank, their private downstairs space.
Our speaker will be Franchelle Millender (Millender Elder Law, LLC, in Columbia). Franchelle is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Association and a 2017 South Carolina Leadership in Law honoree. Her presentation is entitled Long Term Care Planning: Legal Issues, and has already been approved by the South Carolina Bar for one hour of general credit. Those of you who attend will receive her excellent written materials. We are honored to have a recognized elder law specialist like Franchelle come up from Columbia to speak to us, so I hope that you will make the commitment to attend. Please try to arrive no later than 11:45 am so you can get lunch, because Francelle will start to speak promptly at noon.
Because we are a small region that is trying to grow our membership, we are offering these free CLE lunch programs as an incentive to you to become more active in SCWLA. We also hope that you will take this opportunity to invite a friend or colleague who is not a SCWLA member to attend as your guest. If your guest becomes a SCWLA member at the lunch that day, her lunch and CLE will be complimentary. If she doesn’t decide to become a SCWLA member, the cost of her lunch as a guest will be nominal ($15, which is our cost), and can be paid that day.
Please LMK by May 1st at email@example.com if you can attend our May 4th lunch meeting and CLE. I will need to give Amelie’s a head count by end of the day on 5/1. If you haven’t eaten at Amelie’s yet, you are in for a treat, because their food is delicious. And please feel free to forward this email to prospective members who may want to join us for an informative CLE program that deals with a topic we all need to know more about!
