Client Capacity 101: Tips for Serving Clients with limited or compromised capacity

Join us on Friday, February 8th for a fascinating look at how to effectively deal with clients that have capacity issues.  Our first CLE of 2019 will be presented by SCWLA member, Malissa Church (The Law Offices of Malissa Church).  Malissa focuses her practice on providing customized and creative estate planning solutions and guidance to families who want to assist potentially incapacitated family members. Since capacity is essential to making a contract as well as a will, Malissa will discuss how the determination of capacity applies in a number of different legal contexts. Malissa will provide us with tips for how to better communicate with a client who may have diminished capacity, as well as how we can protect ourselves, as attorneys, when we are dealing with a client with compromised capacity.

Please join us for delicious lunch at Amelie’s Left Bank (157 East Main Street, Rock Hill) from 11:30 am to 1 pm on February 8th. And best of all, your lunch and CLE (credit pending) is absolutely free if you are a SCWLA member!
