Please join us on Friday, May 3rd from 2-4 pm for a free Expungement Training Clinic for SCWLA members. As part of our community outreach focus, SCWLA has partnered with SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center to provide free nuts and bolts training to teach us how to prepare an expungement petition. Bridget Brown with Appleseed will be presenting this clinic, which we anticipate will be approved for CLE credit. Once we have members trained on how to prepare expungements, we will be planning an Expungement Clinic in the fall that will target underserved women in our community.
The clinic will be hosted by Morton & Gettys (331 East Main Street, Suite 300, in downtown Rock Hill). This is not a luncheon, so only light refreshments will be served. The clinic is free to current SCWLA members only. (Non-members who are interested in attending will need to pay $35.00 or can become SCWLA members.)
