SCWLA Workforce Readiness Project - Get Involved!

Help Ready Women in Need to Join the Workforce

Donations Needed

The Community Outreach Subcommittee of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association POWER Committee is accepting donations for its Workforce Readiness Project. The committee will be collecting new and gently used business attire, scrubs, non-slip shoes, toiletries, etc. to aid women in need in confidently securing their next employment opportunity. After the collection drive, a Workforce Readiness Event will be held and open to the public to allow the women to "shop " and receive interview coaching and resume advice. The Subcommittee will be accepting donations through August 16 of new (makeup and health care items) and gently used items (business attire, scrubs, shoes, socks, and undergarments) items needed for the Project. A list of needed items can be found HERE. Donations can be dropped off at two law Columbia law firms:  Bailey Law Firm, LLC (1803 Hampton Street, Columbia) and Hedrick Gardner (1230 Main St suite 325, Columbia).
